About Me
I am a registered with The Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the British Psychological Society (BPS), as a chartered Clinical Psychologist. Click here, if you would like to see more information about my qualifications.
I work with individuals across the lifespan from a wide range of social, cultural and religious backgrounds. We work together with curiosity to explore life experiences both past and present to understand how these may have shaped and guided our emotional experiences in adulthood. We work through specific concerns, beliefs and behaviours which may be causing or maintaining distress and find ways to make helpful changes to improve emotional well-being. I offer 1:1 therapy sessions for adults, these are available online and in person.
I use an eclectic and integrative approach to therapy, which means that I draw on a range of evidence based models to support clients, depending on their specific needs. These models include, but are not limited to, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy and Cognitive Analytical Therapy (CAT). I work with clients to understand their relationships with others, as well as with themselves. We can also consider the influence of social and cultural narratives or systems, if comfortable for the client and applicable to their emotional experiences.
Given that life experiences are so varied and individual, I remain flexible and open minded in my approach to therapy to make sure that my work with clients is meaningful for them.
I offer a free 30 minute consultation appointment over the phone or online. We will use this time to get to know each other a little better and to decide how best to use our sessions together.
Each session will be 60 minutes in length and will cost £100. Usually, weekly appointments are advised but you can decide how often would feel comfortable for you. I am currently available in the evenings and weekends.
